How do we create a stunning 3D sculpture inside a high quality optical crystal from your 2D photograph?

Its Crystal Magic!

The process begins when you upload a standard image through our website. Our production team then starts to process your image using our proprietary customized image optimization software. We enhance the image and apply a specialized edge-treatment procedure as well as customized masking to ensure the image is prepared properly. Then our Design artists use additional specialized software to produce a digital 3D sculpture from the enhanced image file. The digital 3D sculpture is then edited,  refined, enhanced with our text merge feature if selected, and calibrated for the correct crystal size.

The completed file is then sent to our production equipment where the magic really starts to happen.

We use only the highest quality optically-pure crystal and state of the art laser equipment to produce the final product. Our production team uses software to control the ND:YAG laser and create high frequency pulses of light within the crystal. We have integrated galvo based scanners that direct the laser beam, and specialized lenses that focus the beam and increase the power density to a point where we can microscopically “etch” the inside of the crystal. Precise control through the software allows us to create the 3D sculpture inside the crystal without leaving a mark on any surface. We take the sculpture file (which can be up to 2,000,000 points) and recreate it in 3D inside any crystal shape.

The result is an amazing 3 dimensional reproduction inside the crystal that is accurate in every detail.
